Introducing our new retreat planning book Milk and Cookies at Midnight

Welcome to the Ever Green Heritage Foundation

The Ever Green Heritage Foundation is a public 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving the needs of women and children, educating and training youth in family values, and preserving the heritage of the settlers of the Great Basin. Founded in 2003 in Midway, Utah, the Ever Green Heritage Foundation operates with a volunteer board of directors.

Our three-fold mission:

  1. To meet the needs of women and children,
  2. To educate and train youth in family values, and
  3. To preserve the heritage of the settlers of the Great Basin.

The Foundation seeks opportunities to carry-out and support the three-fold mission through various avenues. Some of the recent activities include assembling humanitarian and school kits, donating items to The Christmas Box House Store and the Festival of the Trees by partnering with the Quilted Bear, and compiling Mother’s Day gifts for the YWCA.

Ever Green Heritage Foundation receives support from donors, volunteers, and funds generated by the sale of Milk & Cookies at Midnight.

Order Online: $10.00/each

As part of our efforts to educate and train youth in family values, we've been conducting yearly women's retreats since the foundation was begun. These retreats have included as many as 50 women, from age 12 to 75, brought together for a weekend of learning and enrichment. After so many requests from friends and acquaintances about how we've made these retreats so successful, we decided to compile in the information in a book and offer it for sale as a fundraiser.

Milk & Cookies at Midnight: Planning an unforgettable retreat for women is available now.

Our Name

We take the name from a beautiful poem by Joan Hays:

HERE IS A PLACE EVER GREEN
by Joan Hays 2002

Here is a place, ever green, moistened with drops of trust,
Whose Ivy portals, wide and tall, gently beckon us.
Drink deeply from her pools of peace,
Partake as you have need.
Find, within the arbor, cool shade from life’s noon sun,
And in her healing pastures, mend the sorest wounds.
Here bloom gives way to leafy hedge and borders soft abound
To help us keep a truer way, in the garden we have found.

Here is a place ever green . . . rich in every hue,
Varied in each aspect, vibrant, yet subdued.
Soft is the green in shoots of grass, tender as whispered prayer.
New is the green of full spring leaf, soaring in Heaven’s air.
Power, the green of perennial blade, ready at slightest cue
To open and enlarge her place, quiet as the dew.
In the lushness of the bough, the still of fragrant air,
There is certain shelter, and a lifting of each care.

This is the place, constant, rare, and green
As the fair new meadow in her perfect Spring!
More full and green each daybreak than at just before each dark,
Is the verdant vale of friendship found within the Heart.
Sacred is that shared place, ever green and without fear,
Where Ivy portals, wide and tall, bid us, Enter here.
